I have a bungee network with 500-600 players online, 1100 it's a record (in christmas).
For now I using 3 dedicated servers with 8 servers and bungee. I paid for this dedicated servers ~400$:
1. EG-64: http://www.ovh.com/us/dedicated-servers/infra/2014-EG-64.xml
with bungee, skyblock-1, pvp, and lobby.
2. SYS-E32-4: http://www.soyoustart.com/us/offers/sys-e32-4.xml
with freebuild and hide & seek.
3. And second server SYS-E32-4 with skyblock-2, skywars, and very small...
